We are seeking a skilled and reliable SMT Machine Operator II to join our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for performing surface mount manufacturing processes, utilizing both automated equipment and hand assembly, interpreting schematics, and ensuring high-quality production standards are met. If you have hands-on experience with SMT machines, soldering components, and thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and set up SMT equipment for assembly and manufacturing processes.
Program and perform setup adjustments on PNP machines.
Perform preventative maintenance on SMT machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Solder components to printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface-mount technology (SMT) and maintain high-quality soldering standards (J-STD certification required).
Read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed manufacturing work instructions and routers.
Use basic math and handheld measuring tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure all equipment and production meet acceptable standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining Surface Mount machines.
J-STD certification in SMT soldering required.
Strong ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions and drawings.
Basic understanding of SMT solder inspection criteria.
Proficiency in using basic measuring tools and math skills.
Good command of the English language (both written and verbal).
IPC-610 Certification is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move lightweight to moderately weighted materials.
Manual dexterity to assemble products and use hand tools.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
Frequent bending, reaching, and performing tasks in a standing or seated position.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a production shop environment.
You may be required to work at different pieces of SMT equipment as production needs change or shift between various stations during the assembly process.
