OVERVIEW Shift Electrician 1C will install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and associated controls. They ensure that electrical systems are safe and reliable. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications. Install, examine, replace, or repair GRS conduit, EMT conduit, PVC conduit, lighting, electrical wiring, grounding, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, starters, controllers, VFDs, relays, fuses, coils, and other electrical components. Follow strict safety procedures when repairing or installing single-phase and three-phase power distribution systems related to 120/208/240/277/480 and 4160 volts. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, rectifiers, relays, capacitors, and inductors. Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, battery banks, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and electronic control systems, fire alarms, intercoms, security, and other related devices. Perform necessary repairs quickly and safely to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records as required. Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems related to motor starters and typical industrial interlocking schemes. Must be responsible, self-motivated, dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work with limited supervision. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of basic AC/DC circuit analysis. Thorough understanding of 120/208/240/277/480 VAC single and three-phase wiring practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and mechanical skills. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on instruments and PLC components. WORK EXPERIENCES Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance and instrumentation. Plant experience in process control and reliability in a manufacturing facility. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED or equivalent approved by Okeelanta Management. A valid Palm Beach County Journeyman License is desirable but not required. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems related to motor starters and industrial interlocking schemes. Responsible, self-motivated, dependable, organized, safety-conscious. Capable of basic AC/DC circuit analysis. Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers. Understanding of 120/208/240/277/480 VAC wiring practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and mechanical skills. Ability to work independently and assist supervision of other electrical team members. Work may be strenuous, requiring standing for long periods, working off ladders and scaffolds. Work environment may be dusty, noisy, hot, wet, confined, and uncomfortable. Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed, including during outages and emergencies. Attend job-specific and safety training, possibly including CPR and First Aid.
