Overview
We are looking for an Experienced Building Inspector!
Put your construction and code knowledge to work inspecting all phases of building projects in Branson. From plan reviews to site inspections, no two days are the same!
Responsibilities
Conduct building inspections and minor plan reviews for code compliance.
Inspect new construction, renovations, and repairs for quality and safety to verify construction aligns with approved plans and adopted codes.
Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and findings.
Minimum Required Experience and/or Education
One (1) year of experience as a Building Inspector.
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Three (3) years of experience in construction trades.
Possess or obtain within six (6) months of hire date, a minimum of three (3) of the following inspection certifications: ICC Building, ICC Plumbing, ICC Electrical, ICC Residential, or ICC Mechanical. Certification must be current and maintained during term of employment.
Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
Be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
Preferred Education/Training
Graduation from an accredited technical school program is preferred.

Work Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional after hours needed.
Work Location City of Branson, Missouri; This is an in-office position requiring work to be performed onsite as well as in and around the City of Branson, Missouri.
