Join Kansas Electric as an Electrical Estimator and play a crucial role in securing and pricing complex commercial and industrial electrical projects. You'll analyze blueprints, quantify materials, calculate labor costs, and prepare competitive proposals that win business. Core Responsibilities
Strategic planning and precise calculations Review electrical blueprints and specifications to understand project scope and requirements Material Quantification
Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs and maintain supplier databases and pricing records Labor Analysis
Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs while analyzing labor requirements and project timelines Proposal Development
Prepare detailed bid proposals and presentations, coordinate with project management team, and support contract negotiations Required Qualifications
Essential skills and experience Education & Experience
Education Associate's degree in electrical technology, construction management, or equivalent experience
3+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial environments Field Knowledge Understanding of electrical installation methods and construction practices
Technical Skills
Proficiency in electrical estimating software (ConEst, Accubid, or McCormick) Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Mathematical Skills Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for accurate cost calculations
Preferred Qualifications
