This is a “sales hunter” role that will be building sales pipeline to drive new customer growth by identifying shippers to trust the organization with their freight. Our client provides full operational and accounting support to put you in a position to continually (A) cultivate your sales pipeline for new customers (B) drive account strategy with the operations support roles for existing customers. Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and implement growth-based sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Use independent judgment to determine which shippers have viable revenue opportunities, which lanes to quote, and which loads to accept, aiming to meet profit targets. Identify decision-makers and establish/maintain relationships with shippers contributing to revenue and profit targets. Collaborate with operations teams to strategize and respond to RFP/RFQ requests, and to provide excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution. Utilize the company CRM to manage all stages of the sales pipeline and related leading indicators to hit revenue and profit targets. Travel to customer and/or prospective client sites as needed to facilitate sustainable relationships within the customer base and market. Maintain awareness of customer and industry trends, as well as industry regulations. Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree required. 2+ years freight broker or logistics sales experience required. Comfortable prospecting via phone, email, and other channels. Strong professional written and verbal communications skills. Proficient with MS Office, including MS Excel. Efficient time management with the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment. Strong negotiation skills and initiative-taking decision making and critical thinking. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
