OVERVIEW
The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of SQF certification, Quality, and Food Safety systems, including the Prerequisite Programs and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation.
Maintain and improve site SQF certification.
Lead cross-functional HACCP team.
Conduct regular meetings with the HACCP team to exchange information and discuss new procedures or equipment related to food safety.
Develop, implement, and maintain noncompliance records procedures.
Read, interpret, and cross-reference the accuracy of a large number of records, requiring broad and specialized knowledge of the content.
Create diverse forms to document and support HACCP systems.
Keep accurate and comprehensive records using a diverse range of documents.
Develop training and orientation materials about HACCP and related topics (GMPs, sanitation, etc.).
Conduct formal and informal employee orientation and training in HACCP principles, CCPs, GMPs, etc.
Prepare materials designed to assess employee comprehension of food safety subjects.
Interact with suppliers to communicate company standards for quality and safety of incoming products.
Make formal presentations to senior managers to describe HACCP systems and related updates.
Write comprehensive procedures for Prerequisite Programs and HACCP systems.
Practice and promote GMPs and plant safety procedures.
Support the refinery's goals and values.
Professionally represent the company at internal and external meetings.
WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years of Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience.
HACCP experience.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; food science preferred.
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining HACCP and Quality plans.
Proficient laboratory skills and techniques.
Capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
