Summary Performs various hospital food services duties (e.g., assembles, delivers, and retrieves patient trays, washes dishes, pots, carts, and service‑ware support; sets up, and serves customers in cafeteria). Provides the highest quality of service and respect to others at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education Required:
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Must possess knowledge of and be in compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations (i.e., HACCP).
Ability to assemble and pass trays.
Demonstrates a helpful and pleasant behavior when communicating with visitors, hospital personnel, physicians and co‑workers.
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity.
Level of Physical Demands:
Medium: Exerts 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
Ability to be active and on feet most of the day, lift, push, and pull light to medium weight objects; occasionally push and pull heavy weight objects.
