Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an QA Technician in our processed meat manufacturing plant. This position supports the Quality Assurance team in ensuring products meet food safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring production activities to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
Perform basic inspections such as product temperature checks, weight verifications, and packaging integrity
Complete routine sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits on the production floor
Record test results and observations accurately on standardized forms and checklists
Report any deviations or non-conformities to QA leadership and assist in corrective action follow-up
Maintain cleanliness of QA equipment and sampling tools
Support QA team during internal and external audits (e.g., USDA inspections)
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in food production, sanitation, or a manufacturing environment is a plus
Basic math and computer literacy
Ability to work in cold, damp environments and stand for extended periods
Willingness to learn food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and SSOPs
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
