Quality Operations Specialist, DSC & Rotors (Job Number: 336284).

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
Quality Operations Team
We have openings onsite at Bells Rotors RSC and Bells DSC Plant 5 locations
This team assures that manufacturing processes and inspection methods utilized meet and exceed customer quality expectations and to provide technical support to quality and engineering personnel.
Responsibilities
Assists with electronic and manual documentation of inspections, updates departmental procedures.
Performs self-audits and procedure reviews, advises and assists in projects and problem solutions.
Creates and updates charts and graphs as needed for analysis of input and output in the department.
Assists in corrective action and supports internal audit program. Functions as a Planning Review Board member for Quality.
Creates and revises Inspection Instructions.
Plans and reviews technical data and translates into effective Manufacturing / Quality planning and First Article Inspections.
The Quality Operations Specialist supports compliance in Quality Operations and all associated customer contractual requirements.
Build and revise First Article Inspection (FAI) Plans and Quality Inspection Instructions (QIIs) for complex composite and metal machine parts, gears, and other drive and rotor system components.
Functions as a Planning Review Board member for Quality. Ensure compliance of configuration management through audit, evaluation, and tracking.
Interface with end users, customers, and subcontractors on a multitude of issues.
Support new aircraft development, legacy products and advanced Quality technology implementation.
Support cross functional teams engaged in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Quality Data Analysis
Skills You Bring To this Role
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to at all levels including senior leadership, and present in a credible fashion.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and successfully prioritize.
We are looking for inquisitive and driven Quality professionals with a passion to innovate.
What you need to be successful
At least 5 years of quality experience in meeting and exceeding customer quality expectations, preferably in Aerospace but other manufacturing industries will be considered.(Also, will consider at least 5 years of experience in aviation manufacturing planning as equivalent experience to quality experience.)
Extensive GD&T experience applied to gears or machined parts or composite parts.
Thorough understanding of AS9100/AS9102 and the creation of First Article Inspection planning.
Creation of Quality Inspection Instructions, identifying within the planning routes the appropriate inspection placement.
Ability to extract and interpret complex models for Catia V6 & 3DX for use in Advanced Quality Planning Activities.
Ability to navigate MES systems: CAMS, SAP ECC, SAP PEO
