Summary: The
Used Car Buyer
will be responsible for executing a process involving prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale. Duties and Responsibilities: Call, follow up, and schedule appointments for customers to appraise and purchase their used vehicles. Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation. Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments and dealership service drive to purchase their vehicles. Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their vehicles. Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's inventory management system. Work with Sales Managers to build and propose offers to sellers. Introduce customers to sales personnel for new vehicle sales after purchasing their existing vehicle. Review monthly goals with management to optimize purchasing strategies. Prior experience in automotive purchasing, inventory management, and appraisals preferred. Engage effectively with customers, build rapport, and address needs professionally. Communicate persuasively over the phone with excellent verbal skills. Persistently pursue leads with a positive attitude. Use CRM and productivity tools to manage leads and track progress. Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Authorized to work in the USA; willing to undergo pre-employment screening. Performance-based earnings range: $6,000 - $10,000+ per month, depending on performance. Top performers often earn above this range.
