We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, with a focus on precision and quality. This role requires proficiency in various tools and techniques used in the aviation industry, ensuring that all components meet stringent safety and performance standards.

Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Analyze and understand aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to make repairs.

Conduct maintenance operations.

Fabricate replacement parts as needed.

Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications.

Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and general maintenance.

Assist mechanics with various aircraft maintenance tasks as needed.

Fabricate parts and accessories for PMA.

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

FAA Airframe and Powerplant license (preferred)

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role within the aviation industry.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately

Knowledge of metal, alloys, aircraft adhesives, and sealants

Strong hand eye coordination and proficiency in using tools.

Sufficient physical strength and dexterity to climb on aircraft and manipulate replacement parts.

Job Conditions and Environment:

Authorized OEM Service Center for Bell Helicopter, Airbus Helicopter, Safran, Rolls Royce, and Pratt & Whitney

FAR Part 145 Repair Station – Bell Helicopter, Airbus Helicopter, MD Helicopter, Sikorsky, & Leonardo

FAA PMA Authorized

670 sq. ft. spare parts room for parts inventory and tool control

NiCad battery shop

Additional Requirements:

Ability to use a computer.

Complete a favorable background check.

Pass an FAA Drug Test

Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills

Willingness to travel if needed.

Must be available for nights or weekends if the need arises.

Mathematically inclined.

Ability to work independently.
