Nurse Aide (In House Traveler Days) - ICU
Individuals within this job classification are accountable for activities of daily living to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Nurse Aide must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to function in an assistive role to the licensed nurse in the provision of technical and environmental patient care activities as delegated by and under the supervision of the licensed staff. The Nurse Aide will be responsible for: activities of daily living, elimination, infection control, body mechanics, safety and emergency care as indicated. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. This position is a 13 (working) week assignment.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living as delegated by licensed staff.
Support elimination, infection control, body mechanics, safety, and emergency care as indicated.
Adhere to applicable laws and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
License/Certifications: CNA Certification (preferred); BLS
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience.
EPIC experience (preferred)
