$23–$45/hour (based on experience) Role Overview: Environmental consulting role focused on helping construction contractors comply with environmental laws and mitigation measures. Includes biological surveys, compliance monitoring, and mentoring junior staff. Core Responsibilities: Construction Monitoring:
Worker awareness training, pre-construction surveys, on-site compliance checks Field Surveys:
Wildlife, botanical, and wetland surveys in rugged and varied terrain Data Management:
GIS and digital tools for field data, reporting, and quality control Reporting:
Daily reports, technical studies, and compliance documentation Mentorship:
Guide junior biologists in field skills and data integrity Additional Duties: Desktop reviews, project management assistance Fieldwork including endangered species surveys Travel and remote work in challenging field conditions Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and contractors Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s in biology, ecology, or related field or 3+ years of relevant field experience 2+ years of compliance monitoring 3+ years of experience in surveys involving endangered species or sensitive habitats At least one endangered species permit (or progress toward one) Skills GPS/data software proficiency (Survey123, ESRI, etc.) Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and communication Ability to work independently and remotely Physical readiness for rugged terrain and weather extremes Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license and clean driving record You can post now and register later.If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account.
