Job Description We are seeking a fully funded postdoctoral associate position in bioinformatics and computational biology. This position will be jointly mentored by Dr. Li Chen (onsite) in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Florida and Dr. Hongkai Ji (remote) in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. The role focuses on developing statistical, machine learning and deep learning methods to analyze multi‑omics data (genetic, epigenetic, transcriptomic, imaging, single‑cell genomics and spatial omics) with the goal of understanding the underlying genetic architecture of complex traits and diseases.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and apply statistical and computational methods for multi‑omics data analysis.

Conduct data analysis and perform rigorous interpretation.

Write manuscripts and present research findings at conferences.

Assist with grant application preparation.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in R or Python.

Prior experience in genetic or genomic data analysis.

Additional Information Expected salary: $62,232 annually (commensurate with experience and in accordance with NIH postdoctoral salary guidelines). Postdoctoral associates are eligible for comprehensive health and leave benefits and have access to faculty research resources. Professional development funds are available each training year.
