Summary
The Medi Spa is seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our healthcare team. This is a contractor position. The ideal candidate will be passionate about holistic healing and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through acupuncture treatments.
This is a commission-based position ($55 per patient).
Responsibilities
Perform acupuncture treatments on patients, specifically oncology patients, to alleviate side effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation, pain, other symptoms, and promote overall wellness.
Conduct patient assessments to determine treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Utilize manual therapies, cupping, dry needling, trigger point therapy, and other techniques to address specific health concerns.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and chiropractors to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide education on acupuncture benefits and self-care practices.
Manage overall patient care and wellness.
Requirements Education and Work Experience:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and have an active license in the state of Maryland as an acupuncturist.
Qualifications:
Active CPR certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical examinations.
Experience in pain management, particularly in acute pain management.
Familiarity with treating patients across various demographics, including pediatrics.
Excellent patient care skills and bedside manner.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
