Senior Physical Therapist - Langone Orthopedic Center Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Physical Therapist at Langone Orthopedic Center.

Responsibilities

Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement. Records all treatment in the medical chart as required by Department guidelines and JACHO/CARF requirements.

Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Initial Assessment and Evaluation of Physical Therapy needs for specifically assigned patient populations; reviews medical charts, clarifies referral/treatment orders, selects appropriate assessment tools, and develops or adjusts the treatment plan accordingly.

Participates in Clinical Education of fieldwork students and other educational endeavors; teaches and supervises students in techniques and procedures.

Provides patient contact in line with productivity expectations; mentors staff and pursues areas of clinical interest to develop expertise.

Implements Treatment Plans and Protocols according to current professional and health system standards; establishes achievable goals with patient and family; selects appropriate aids and refers to other services as needed; educates patients and families during rehabilitation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.

New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist.

BLS certification or Heartsaver CPR/AED upon entry to the position.

Phys Thrpst License-NYS

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.

Salary Base pay range: $106,650.17/yr - $122,706.12/yr
