Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist The Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a full-time Radiologist in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division, headed by Dr. Suhny Abbara. Candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent, have completed a minimum of 1 year of fellowship training, and be ABR Board certified/eligible. Eligibility for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment is required. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Responsibilities
Supervising and interpreting cardiac and thoracic imaging studies Providing consultation to referring physicians Potentially performing various thoracic interventional procedures Clinical services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and affiliated outpatient clinics Utilizing state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including MRI, CT, and PET-CT scanners, as well as enterprise-wide EMR, PACS, 3D processing software, voice recognition dictation, and other electronic resources Opportunities to work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest radiology training programs in the U.S. Qualifications
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent Minimum of 1 year of fellowship training ABR Board certified or eligible Eligibility for Texas medical licensure and acquisition prior to start of employment Interest in clinical and/or research activities within cardiothoracic imaging Academic and Support Resources
