Certified Surgical Tech – Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, the charge nurse, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Surgical Tech is responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major procedures as competency allows at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth Outpatient Center.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure/Certification : Certification in OR Technology, required
Certification : BLS required
Specific Job Experience : Experience preferred (1 year), but not required
Skills : Ability to organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency; follow guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures; ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record system
