Barton Associates Inc. We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri, beginning Jan 6, 2026. This per diem role features 12-hour day shifts (9:00–21:00 or 13:00–01:00), including some weekends, in an academic, trauma setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma care within academic environments and hold the required board certifications.
Responsibilities
Deliver advanced clinical care in an academic, trauma environment
Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent conditions in emergency medicine
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced academic setting
Provide patient care during 12-hour day shifts, including some weekends
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Comply with all clinical protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
Must have trauma experience in an academic setting
Valid Missouri nurse practitioner license required
Required board certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC), Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP or ENP-BC)
Per diem position; dates are subject to change based on client needs

LOA: 5 days
Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts (9:00–21:00 or 13:00–01:00); some weekends; dates include 1/6, 1/12, 1/14, 1/19, 1/20
