We drive continuous improvement and maintain all of the Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers are met with the Amazon smile. Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) are the business partners that support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. What We Offer

Key Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Please note that while we strive to accommodate employees’ preferences for shift assignments, we cannot guarantee a specific shift due to operational requirements and scheduling constraints. Shifts
Front Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Typical pattern is Sunday to Wednesday with 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (10-hour shift) and a half-hour break. Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Usually Wednesday to Saturday with daytime hours, e.g., 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Typical pattern is Sunday to Wednesday with 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM and a half-hour break. Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Usually Wednesday to Saturday with 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM and a half-hour break. Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma. 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment. 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience. 1+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE experience. Associates or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field, or equivalent apprenticeship/experience. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and Safety standards. 2+ years of experience with PLC-based controls systems. 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple US geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $56,680/year to $76,024/year depending on location and other factors.
