Job Description Summary: Under indirect supervision, the Pediatric Ultrasound Technologist I provides high quality sonograms in a dedicated pediatric setting for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Radiologist, adhering to all quality and patient safety standards, as well as standards for professional behavior, as defined by the organization.

We offer a $10,000 sign on bonus

Essential Job Functions Include
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and all hospital and community caregivers.
Management of patient priority.
Interdepartmental teamwork for patient care coordination in outpatient setting.
Timely preparation and communication of preliminary reports.
Demonstrated competency in all aspects of RIS and PACS as it pertains to modality specific functions and use.
Adherence to all department policies, procedures, and protocols.
Education : Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Experience : Two to three years’ experience performing dedicated pediatric ultrasound preferred.
Required Registration/Certification
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
