Description The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments (diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments). The role involves obtaining and verifying necessary demographic and insurance information, registering patients, and entering data into the scheduling system. This position requires working in a call‑center type environment and meeting individual quality metrics. The incumbent practices the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence by providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members. The estimated pay range for this position is $17.27 - $20.90 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications Degrees:

High School, Certified, GED, Technical, Experienced

Additional Qualifications

Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.

Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced work environment.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired: Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.

Experience with computer applications (Microsoft Office, EMR applications, etc.) and accurate typing skills.

Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, and medical necessity compliance guidelines.

Proficiency in both English and Spanish/Creole.
