The Formulation Chemist will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing adhesive, sealant, and coating formulations. This position supports product innovation, scale-up, and technical troubleshooting while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in polymer chemistry and hands-on experience in applied formulation science. Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and optimize new formulations for adhesives, sealants, and coatings. Improve existing formulations for performance, cost efficiency, and compliance. Select and evaluate raw materials to meet specific performance targets. Conduct lab experiments, prototype evaluations, and application testing. Support scale-up activities from lab to production. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including test data and formulation records. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and sales teams to support projects and resolve technical issues. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies related to polymers and raw materials. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline. Minimal of 1 year of experience in formulation development (adhesives, sealants, coatings, or similar). Strong understanding of polymers, resins, curing agents, fillers, and additives. Familiarity with mechanical, rheological, and chemical testing methods. Experience with formulation scale-up and production transfer. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimental design skills. Effective communication and documentation abilities. Compensation And Benefits
