Job Summary

Provides respiratory care services, pulmonary function testing, and patient education in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers. Serves as a patient advocate and resource by delivering high-quality technical care and excellent customer service in a clinic setting.

What you will do

Clinical Testing & Treatment - Pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenge, ventilator management, maintaining airway support.

Patient Education & Advocacy - Educate on procedures, equipment use, and disease management.

Patient Flow & Customer Service - Assist with scheduling, clinic flow, direct patient interaction, responding to questions.

Equipment & Quality Control - Calibration, maintenance, safety checks.

Experience Qualifications

1-3 years Current clinical experience in respiratory therapy. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year current clinical experience (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care.

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.

Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.

Possess skills to effectively problem solve.

Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone and office equipment.

Possess effective written and verbal communication.

Licenses and Certifications

CPR/BLS Certification - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program. Upon Hire Required

Respiratory Therapist License issued by the state of WI Upon Hire Required
