Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) position
Location: Beaufort, SC 29902
Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Cardiac Stepdown
Start Date: November 5, 2025
End Date: February 4, 2026
Duration: 13‑week nursing contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12‑hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 – $1800 per week
Patient Ratio: 1:4‑5
Bed Count: 21
Orientation: Every Wednesday
Scrub Colors: Royal Blue and White
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active South Carolina RN license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cardiac Stepdown or PCU Registered Nurse
Prior travel nursing experience required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
Comfortable with high patient ratios and floating assignments
50‑mile radius rule applies (local candidates not accepted)
Availability to work every other weekend
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit
Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including those on non‑titrating drips (Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, Cardene)
Care for post‑cardiac cath patients, vascular procedures, and NSTEMI cases
Administer IVP Ativan for CIWA, manage peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high‑flow oxygen, and home ventilators (Trilogy)
Perform wound care, nebulizer treatments, and coordinate with the dialysis department
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
Float to other hospital units as required
