Cape Cod Healthcare . **Position Details:** 16 hours per week, rotating days, 7a-3:30p, rotating weekends and holidays **Purpose of Position:** Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administers and monitors patient responses to medications. Guides patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and high customer service. **Responsibilities:** Utilize nursing process and maintain accurate patient records. Assess patients physically, psychologically, socially, and plan discharge. Act as charge nurse and resource person. Participate in staff meetings and committees. Ensure safety and quality of care, adhere to policies. Maintain professional development and confidentiality. Represent hospital in the community. Perform additional duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license in Massachusetts. Basic Life Support Certification. Successful passage of Psychiatric Pharmacology exam. De-escalation Certification within 90 days of hire. Psychiatric experience preferred; BSN preferred. **Additional Requirements:** Must read, write, and communicate in English. **Organization:** Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, MA, Adult Psych Unit.
