Job Description DHHS is seeking a Community Health Educator for our Public Health Division. As part of a collaborative team, you will serve as the project director for the Overdose Data to Action for States Program.
The position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of public health initiatives, working collaboratively to improve community health outcomes and prevent drug overdoses.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support critical program activities, including:
Assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of program evaluation and performance measures to ensure goals are achieved.
Contributing to the development of annual grant applications, budgets, work plans, and progress reports.
Engaging with internal and external partners to identify resources, gaps, and opportunities, fostering collaborative relationships.
Providing technical assistance and training to contractors, subrecipients, and partners on evidence-based strategies to enhance drug overdose prevention efforts.
Supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of contracts and subawards, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Monitoring and auditing contractor progress and financial reports and developing corrective action plans as needed to maintain compliance.
Work collaboratively with other prevention staff as well as with Epidemiology staff.
Requirements/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Post high school coursework/training in community health education, biological science, adult/continuing education or related field AND experience in public/community health education activities with responsibility for: developing and evaluating health education programs; determining health needs; preparing educational and informational materials, training aids, and presentations; or conferring with individuals and groups to exchange information pertinent to community health education programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in public or community health, business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, healthcare, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in public or community health, public administration, healthcare, or related field.
Experience writing and managing federal grants and contracts/subawards and performing
