Who We’re Seeking We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems in automated machinery and robotics. This role is ideal for engineers with 1–3 years of experience or early‑career professionals looking to grow in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Work will be under the guidance of senior staff to contribute to product development, system testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Assist in the design and development of electromechanical systems and components using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Support the integration of mechanical systems with control hardware such as PLCs, sensors, actuators, and HMIs.

Aid in programming and debugging control systems using platforms like Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, or similar.

Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure cohesive system performance.

Contribute to documentation including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and change orders.

Learn and apply principles of control theory, robotics, and embedded systems in real-world applications.

Perform basic data analysis and simulations using tools like MATLAB or Python.

Support installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites when required.

Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and continuous improvement efforts.

Perform other job duties as assigned and deemed appropriate by management.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

1–3 years of professional experience or relevant academic project work in automation, robotics, or control systems preferred.

Authorized to work in the US.

Able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Additionally, You’ll Need These Skills and Attributes

Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control system.

Exposure to programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Understanding of mechanical design principles and GD&T.

Willingness and aptitude to learn SCADA, embedded systems, and sensor integration.

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, especially in collaborative environments.

High attention to detail and eagerness to learn new skills.

Ability to solve problems and contribute to engineering solutions.

Curiosity and Lifelong Learning: A desire to continually learn and explore new approaches and technologies.

Desire for Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for process improvement, driving change in the organization.
