Job Description
Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Perform cleanup duties. Perform material handling and storage duties. Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools. Use and care for craft-specific tools and equipment. Apply craft-related mathematics and safety standards. Inspect rigging equipment and hardware, and understand common hitches, emergency stop signals, and basic crane hand signals. Perform knot tying (bowline & clove hitch) and rigging procedures, including sling stress calculations. Utilize tools and equipment for lateral load movement without a crane. Inspect wire rope components, load blocks, and sheaves. Perform oxyfuel cutting, gasket fabrication and installation, pipe fitting, and material cutting. Perform bolt make-up, weld preparation, layout, and fabrication duties. Align and fit-up structural components and tubes. Prepare base metals and perform heat treatments. Inspect vessels, install valves, and identify and install pipe hangers and supports. Fabricate and install stairs, railings, grating, and decking. Review construction drawings and blueprints. Cut and thread pipe, interpret welding drawings, and perform boiler tube fabrication and fitting. Perform air carbon arc cutting and gouging. Job Requirements
