Position Summary Position:

Engineering Co-op (January 2026 start)

Location:

Westminster, SC

Major:

Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Automotive or related)

Academic Schedule:

3 rotations (January - May 2026, August - December 2026 and May - August 2027)

Status:

Full Time (40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Rate of pay:

$20 to $22 per hour depending on class year

The ITT Westminster Engineering Co-Op Experience During each rotation our Co-Ops work with the Engineering Manager to develop a list of projects that will be the responsibility of the Co-Op to manage and complete. The nature of these projects will be determined based on a combination of interests of the student, business needs, and aptitude of the student to complete the tasks required. These projects are meant to stretch the student to develop new skills, experience and will require hands-on involvement in areas outside of engineering like machining, assembly, and quality. We strive to make the “ITT Engineering Co-Op Experience” unique by providing opportunities to experience the aspects of an engineering career which can’t be learned in a classroom with the aid of a coach and mentor.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Essential Responsibilities

Update Manufacturing work instruction manuals.

Work with Operations Management, Engineering and Quality to investigate and capture priorities and tasks

Use Excel and MS Word to track and update project documents

Concept and Create 3D models, production drawings, and Bill of Materials

Complete analysis of Customer applications and Manufacturing requirements

Participate in product testing and product development

Assist in manufacturing process improvement projects

Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate and energize

Must have a thirst for learning and passion for solving complex problems

Ability to work in a combination office and assembly/machining environment

Must wear safety glasses and safety shoes

Requirements

Enrolled in an Engineering program with a minimum 2.50 GPA
