Overview Electro-Mechanical Test Technician role at Parry Labs. This is a six-month contract position with the potential for full-time conversion upon completion.

About The Job The Electro-Mechanical Test Technician is responsible for supporting electro-mechanical testing programs to ensure the functionality, reliability, and quality of advanced products and components. This role requires strict adherence to established Quality Management System (QMS) standards, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct inspection, functional testing, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies, subsystems, and systems.

Handle ESD-sensitive components throughout all production phases, including receiving inspection, programming, rework, repair, and final assembly.

Perform quality control processes in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.

Document inspection and test results, generate non-conformance reports, and complete failure analysis reports in electronic manufacturing systems.

Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities in partnership with engineering and quality teams.

Assist in new product introduction (NPI) efforts by providing test feedback, assembly support, and production readiness evaluations.

Provide post-delivery technical support, including product troubleshooting and repair services.

Maintain proper records of test data, work instructions, and configuration management documentation.

Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements, including safety and quality standards.

Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and organized condition.

Collaborate with engineering teams to validate design changes, prototype builds, and process improvements.

Perform other duties as required to support production, engineering, and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in operating computers, including keyboards and touchscreens.

Basic familiarity with the Linux operating system.

Ability to generate test documentation, failure analysis, and problem reports within electronic manufacturing systems.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior military experience in aircraft maintenance or avionics is highly preferred.

Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, electromechanical systems, or a related field.

Experience in a defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.

Knowledge of IPC-A-610/620 standards and certification is highly desirable.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.

Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and transitioning products into production.

Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
