Mechanical Assembler – 2nd Shift
at Graham Manufacturing As a Mechanical Assembler on the 2nd shift you will assemble, disassemble, repair, and adjust units, attachments, and components following blueprints, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions. Reports To
Manufacturing Supervisor or designated supervisor. Key Responsibilities
Maintain production quality and efficiency using appropriate tools and equipment, and perform special processes as required. Execute assembly operations, sub‑assembly operations, attachments, and accessories. Operate material‑handling equipment such as jibs, overhead cranes, and their accessories. Use an assortment of measuring tools and accurately read blueprints and work instructions. Consistently meet customer quality requirements and expectations. Follow oral and written instructions. Provide instruction and guidance to junior employees and assist in training welders and other personnel. Perform additional duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or weld shop supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear all required safety equipment. Use scaffolding, ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, or cranes when necessary. Identify and implement continual improvement suggestions. Demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the job. Follow up with supervisor on professional development goals and opportunities. Qualifications
Technical trade school in welding. High school GED required. 1+ year(s) of assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Strong organization, time‑management, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively with a team. Competent communication skills via phone, e‑mail, and in‑person. Commitment to safety policies and procedures. Physical & Mental Demands
Primarily sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend; speak and communicate clearly. Must have 20/20 vision (or equivalent) and ability to distinguish colors. Must read, write, analyze data, develop plans, and work under pressure. Exposure to high noise levels, hazardous materials, fumes, and moving mechanical parts. Employment Details
Full‑time, 2nd shift. Entry level. No sponsorship required – must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
