Responsibilities

Oversight and scheduling of IAQ maintenance tasks such as coil cleaning, duct cleaning, supply/return vent cleaning, and HVAC interior equipment cleaning.

Training and supervising the IAQ maintenance team, ensuring tasks are performed to campus specifications and industry standards within established time frames and cost limits.

Collaborating with campus experts—architects, engineers, EH&S, building code office, and project managers—to coordinate project schedules and execute maintenance activities.

Communicating with departmental facilities representatives and owners, coordinating work schedules, and working with contractors on IAQ cleaning projects.

Providing performance reports and guidance to Maintenance leadership regarding IAQ tasks.

Participating in recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluation, and discipline of direct reports while ensuring staff have the necessary tools, materials, and safety training.

Completing required safety training and complying with safety standards, including lockout‑tagout, confined space safety, hazardous chemical handling, and PPE usage; reporting complex problems to the supervisor and coordinating with other Maintenance staff.

Operating a university vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in HVAC, HVAC/R, or IAQ systems, or completion of an accredited HVAC/IAQ certification program.

A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Siemens Desigo BAS.
