About Our Company We are a privately‑held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our capabilities at DJS are constantly expanding and currently include CNC machining, full metal fabrication (laser, brake, welding), painting, integrated assemblies and more. Our facility includes the latest in manufacturing technology and equipment.

Job Description 1st shift: Monday through Friday 6:00 am–2:00 pm. The Welder will perform the daily set‑up and fabricate/weld (MIG and/or TIG) weldments in a variety of materials—including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum—utilizing blueprints for set‑up and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead welding department; coach, train and instruct other team members.

Set‑up, lay‑out, tack‑up and weld sheet metal or plate to construct customer parts and components.

Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG and/or TIG welding.

Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.

Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.

Capable of porosity‑free TIG welding and MIG welding.

Follow and maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe work area.

Follow all clean‑up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualification Requirements

2+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience.

High School diploma or GED required.

Ability to set‑up jobs from prints.

Blueprint reading.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent attendance.

Positive, “can‑do” attitude.

The Following Experience Is a Plus But Not Required

A certificate from college or technical school.

Robot welding experience.
