Job: Elementary Summer Academic Academy Coordinator
Session: Months of June and July (Monday – Friday) Salary: $35/hour Location: District-wide Purpose of the Job:
Facilitate all aspects of elementary summer school to help students in the 1st-3rd grades accomplish their academic goals with Reading & Math. Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience:
More than 5 years experience preferred, Strong understanding of early literacy and reading instruction Licenses/Certificates:
Must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License properly endorsed for proposed assignment. Other Criteria: Criminal background check required for hire. Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public. Ability to effectively read, write, speak and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities. Integrity, trust and work ethic to be able to work with little supervision. Competent understanding of technology to perform the job. Must pass pre-employment physical. Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs). Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of district data. Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts to the various district systems and applications. Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel. Follows all board policies for acceptable use of district technology. Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements. Other duties as assigned. Essential Duties of the Job: Communicate well with school personnel to identify students who qualify for the Summer Academic Academy. Facilitate planning, scheduling and orientation sessions prior to the start of summer school session. Effectively utilize intervention resources and programming to meet the instructional needs of students. Manage students and support staff during Academic Academy sessions. Communicate with parents about a student's progress. Complete end of summer school reports for attendance, successful completion and behavior. Skills, Knowledge, Equipment & Other: Grade Level Expectations Reading Mathematics Google Docs and Google Sheets Organize, track and report data effectively Reporting results of student work to schools in the district Supervisory Responsibilities:
6-8 teachers, and 4-6 paras Requirements for Essential Functions of the Job:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a school setting, remote setting, or setting similar to school (ex. library, administration building, coffee shop). Travel from site to site may occasionally be required; may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet with occasional increases when working events or with equipment. Must be able to work in person. Mental Functions:
