Position Description

As a machinist and setup technician, your precision and expertise in both machining and stamping setups are essential to maintaining the highest quality standards, driving manufacturing excellence, and directly contributing to the success of our innovative projects. Machine Setup and Operation:

Operate CNC Stamping punch press machines including Bruderer BSTA 510 and BSTA 810, Saga, and ensure precise setup and alignment within specifications. Tool Management:

Manage tool changes, make offset adjustments for accurate machining processes, and conduct routine checks on tool conditions, while proficient in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Blueprint Interpretation:

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering schematics to accurately manufacture parts within specified dimensions. Inspection:

Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts are within specified tolerances. Problem Solving:

Demonstrate troubleshooting skills to resolve machine setup, alignment, or die-related issues. Attention to Detail:

Emphasize maintaining accuracy and quality to prevent defects. Adherence to Policies and Guidelines:

Adhere to machining policies, Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO standards, and safety guidelines for compliance and promptly reporting and resolving non-compliance issues. Position Requirements

Familiarity in operating Bruderer press controls, adjusting settings, and adhering to safety protocols. Skilled in die maintenance, handling, and adjustments, including progressive and transfer dies. In-depth knowledge of material properties, such as sheet metal thickness, hardness, and tolerances. Strong understanding of stamping processes, including blanking, forming, and piercing. Ability to setup and operate CNC stamping machines with precision, while reading and interpreting blueprints to manufacture parts that meet quality standards and specifications in a production environment. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts conform to the blueprints. Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights. Demonstrate excellent motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks. Effective communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate on problem-solving. Efficient prioritization and time management skills to meet production schedules. Preferred

Work flexible and extended hours as needed. Must be available to work weekends. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in die setup and operation, preferably on Bruderer or other high-speed stamping presses. Proficient in precision tool and die adjustments. Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering, or equivalent technical certification. Specialized training in press machine operations or die setting. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of finished products. Adaptable to handling multiple setups, quick changeovers, and shifts based on production demands, with the ability to swiftly adjust to changes in machining processes or technology. Willingness to explore innovative machining techniques and technologies. Experience with High Speed Press with progressive dies: Bruderers, Sagas, or equivalent. Forklift experience. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Benefits
