Tech Lead JS (Node.js + React) – Greensboro As Tech Lead, you’ll guide architecture and delivery for products used by millions each week. You’ll lead a full-stack squad across React (SPA/SSR) and Node.js (APIs/microservices), shaping architecture, patterns, and quality standards (performance, security, testing). You’ll design and evolve REST APIs and services, integrating payments, catalog, pricing, and fulfillment. You’ll elevate developer experience with CI/CD, observability, feature flags, and automation. You’ll mentor engineers and partner with Product, UX, and Data to ship outcomes. You’ll build in the cloud (AWS preferred) with infrastructure-as-code practices.

What You’ll Do

Lead a full-stack squad across React (SPA/SSR) and Node.js (APIs/microservices).

Set architecture, design patterns, and quality standards (performance, security, testing).

Design and evolve REST APIs and services; integrate payments, catalog, pricing, and fulfillment.

Improve developer experience with CI/CD, code reviews, observability, feature flags, and automation.

Mentor engineers; collaborate with Product, UX, and Data teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

Build in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred): ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, S3/CloudFront; implement infrastructure-as-code.

Focus on reliability, monitoring, and scalable deployments with proper testing (Jest, Playwright/Cypress).

What You Bring

6+ years in JavaScript/TypeScript with 2+ years in technical leadership or TL/architect roles.

Proficiency in React (Hooks, state management such as Redux/Zustand); Next.js is a plus; attention to web performance and accessibility.

Node.js experience (Express/Nest/Fastify); API design and event/queue integrations.

Cloud experience (AWS preferred): ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, S3/CloudFront; CI/CD with GitHub Actions/CodeBuild/CircleCI.

Testing expertise (Jest, Playwright/Cypress) and reliability metrics (logging, tracing, APM).

Upper-intermediate English for collaboration with U.S. teams.

Nice-to-have: Retail/e-commerce domain knowledge (catalog, promotions, OMS, checkout); micro-frontends, SSR/ISR with Next.js; CDN strategies; experimentation & analytics (A/B testing, product metrics).

Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities; bias for action and customer focus.

Desirable

Experience in omnichannel or large-scale e-commerce environments.

Familiarity with payments integrations, order management systems, and fulfillment workflows.

Ability to navigate cross-functional teams, manage trade-offs, and drive iterative delivery in a fast-paced setting.
