Full Time Faculty - Certified Nursing Assistant (Tenure Track, Fall 2026)
Join the College of DuPage as a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty member teaching Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses starting August 2026.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach classroom, lab, and clinical instruction using a competency‑based curriculum that prepares students for the Illinois Nurse Assistant Certification Exam.
Develop and assess courses in 8‑week and 16‑week formats across fall, spring, and summer terms.
Engage in curriculum development, student advising, professional inquiry, committee work, and instructional technology.
Provide instruction in multiple delivery modes (face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, blended) during days, evenings, and weekends; remote teaching is not permitted.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing with BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 4 CEUs of approved Alzheimer’s Training or BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification, or MSN with 4 CEUs of approved Alzheimer’s Training or BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification.
Two years of experience as a registered nurse (RN) in teaching or direct nursing care to older or chronically ill adults.
Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
Current AHA BLS healthcare provider certification (required); AHA BLS instructor certification preferred.
