Full Time Faculty – Certified Nursing Assistant (Tenure Track, Fall 2026)

invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position teaching Certified Nursing Assistant courses beginning in August 2026.
Overview The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, offering nine associate degrees and numerous professional and technical certificates. Our mission is to prepare students for lifelong learning and to provide pathways to higher‑education partners.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction using a competency‑based curriculum that prepares students for the Illinois Nurse Assistant Certification Exam. Courses are offered in 8‑week and 16‑week formats during the fall, spring and summer terms in accordance with IDPH‑approved guidelines.
Key duties include:
Teaching and assessment of nursing‑assistant students
Curriculum development and improvement
Student advising and mentorship
Professional inquiry and scholarly activity
Committee service and engagement with instructional technology
Instruction across various delivery modes—face‑to‑face, online, hybrid and/or blended—during days, evenings and weekends (full remote work is not offered)
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing with BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 4 CEUs of approved Alzheimer’s Training or BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification, or MSN with 4 CEUs of approved Alzheimer’s Training or BNA Instructor Train the Trainer Course Certification.
At least two years experience as a registered nurse (RN) in teaching theory in an accredited nursing training program or in providing nursing care, including personal care and activities of daily living, to older adults or chronically ill adults.
Active Illinois Registered Nurse License.
Current AHA BLS healthcare provider certification required.
Current AHA BLS healthcare instructor certification preferred.

11:59 p.m. CST, Sunday, January 11th, 2026 . The Teaching Statement must describe anticipated contributions to academic quality and student success. A teaching demonstration will be required at interview.
Foreign transcripts must include a course‑by‑course analysis with an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service.
