Description THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE IN HUNTINGTON, WV. Our client has an immediate need for a PC Technician, located in Huntington, WV. Under general supervision, the candidate will provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. The candidate will offer support with problems that the first-tier help desk support is unable to resolve. The candidate may interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. The candidate may simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. The candidate will recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems and maintain a high level of technical skill in their field. Complex issues are escalated to a senior level.

Support responsibilities include software installation and configuration. The Help Desk Specialist performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers via telephone or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages. Duties include installing and testing PCs, printers, and peripherals, configuring operating systems, loading shrink-wrap and other software, troubleshooting hardware and software, coordinating repairs, resolving computer system problems, and evaluating system configuration and software.

Active Secret Clearance

Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (includes A+, Network+, SSCP, CCNA‑Security)

Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013

Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system

Strong analytical and follow‑through skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to coordinate and obtain cooperation from multiple IT areas

Ability to work independently on defined tasks and as part of a team

Desired Skills

Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices (e.g., installing maintenance kits)

Prior USACE/ACE‑IT experience

Experience working in a DoD environment

Experience supporting Office 365

Experience Level Entry Level

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $27.00 – $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may vary by plan or program terms.
