Industrial Maintenance Technician As a maintenance mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. Your duties include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Essential Functions

Follow all company safety rules and regulations, including OSHA and applicable local, state, and federal agencies.

Work safely around electrical, plumbing, railcar, height, and sugar pit areas.

Read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Install new production equipment.

Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.

Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines.

Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.

Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.

Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.

Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area.

Prepare and submit maintenance reports.

Operate hand and power/electrical tools and equipment such as shovels, wrenches, saws, welders, drills, lawn mowers, forklift, high lift, etc.

Execute mechanical assembly of bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and various components.

Perform basic wiring, carpentry, plumbing, and troubleshooting.

Assemble controls, panels, and lighting.

Supervisory Responsibilities None.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.

In‑depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.

Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Basic computer and report‑writing skills.

Good communication skills.

Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

Good time‑management skills.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Plumbing, electrical, and welding experience preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, turning, sitting.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.

Exposure to outside environments: hot, cold, humid, dry, icy, wet, noisy.

Potential exposure to fuel vapors, sudden temperature changes, petroleum‑based products, and cleaning chemicals.

Work around mechanical hazards, moving objects, high places, and electrical hazards.

Must work in and around others.

Travel Required Travel to other locations may be required as business needs arise.
