Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift

Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $27.00/hr.
As a maintenance mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. This position is Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Essential Functions
Follow all appropriate company safety rules and regulations, including OSHA, and local, state, and federal agencies.
Follow all safety procedures while working near or with electrical, plumbing, railcars, heights, sugar pit.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
Install new production equipment.
Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production‑related equipment.
Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
Operate hand and power/electrical tools and equipment (shovels, wrenches, saws, welders, drills, lawn mower, fork lift, high lift, etc.).
Initiate and execute work including mechanical assembly, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, general maintenance, basic wiring, carpentry, plumbing, troubleshooting, controls and panel assembly and lighting.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
In‑depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer and report writing skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Good time‑management skills.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Plumbing, electrical, and welding experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, turning, sitting.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
Exposure to outside weather conditions, mechanical hazards, moving objects, high places, electrical hazards, fuel vapors, petroleum‑based products, chemicals.
Travel Required Travel to other ingredients PLUS locations may be required as business needs arise.
