Electrical Analytical Engineering Consultant 2

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with a mix of in-office and remote work. The role focuses on power systems modeling and analytical support for interdisciplinary project teams, including interconnection of new power generation resources and transmission and distribution planning. Responsibilities

Provide power system modeling and analytical support for interconnection of new power generation resources (onshore/offshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage, traditional thermal generation). Engage in planning and design for power plants and modifications to existing facilities. Contribute to power system protection design and integration of new technologies (electric vehicles, microgrids, green hydrogen). Perform studies such as Power Flow, Short Circuit, Protection Coordination, Arc Flash, Transient and Dynamic Stability, Transient Over-voltage, Power Quality and Harmonics, System Impact, Cable Ampacity, Grounding. Travel to client offices and project sites for on-site consultation as needed. Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering with a strong background in Power/Power Systems; MSEE or Ph.D. is required. Understanding of practical electrical engineering applications and project design processes. 10 or more years of related engineering experience. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, drawings, and models. Proficiency with MS Office applications; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. Internship or work experience in power analysis in the power industry. Experience with software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, TARA, CYME, Synergi, ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, EMTP-RV. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript). FE exam and Engineer in Training designation. Awards & Benefits
