Production Mechanic - 3rd Shift
Join Turkey Hill’s team on the 3rd shift (11 pm–7 am, Tuesday–Saturday). Turkey Hill is a growing, nationwide company that has been producing ice cream and beverages since 1931.
Job Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Repair equipment during breakdowns.
Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to plan, layout and complete work.
Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic devices.
Inspect, operate, or test faulty machinery or equipment.
Inspect or test programmable controllers and motors to diagnose machine malfunctions using voltmeters or other troubleshooting tools.
Maintain accurate documentation of assignments, machine repairs, and parts inventory utilizing the site CMMS.
Work effectively with department and cross‑functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Plant Safety Regulations, Quality Control Standards and plant policies.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the safe quality food (SQF) 2000 Systems and be accountable to Turkey Hill’s Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Team‑oriented and able to work in a team environment.
Adherence to scheduled work hours, including start, end, lunch and break times.
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines.
Be accountable to Turkey Hill’s Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
Wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
Stand and walk in an environment for 8+ hours.
Ascend and descend stairs and perform related tasks as needed.
Reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed.
Inspect all job‑related equipment to ensure it is in working condition.
Operate all job‑related equipment (powered, hand, or office) as required.
Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception and adjust focus.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
