1 Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=18594) SubstationDrafter Job Summary POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking an experienced Substation Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department based in our Minneapolis office located in Burnsville, Minnesota. This role offers flexibility for hybrid or in-office work arrangements, so candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the office. Responsibilities Assist with drafting and design tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Develop proficiency in CAD software while adhering to client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with project expectations

Learn and apply POWER’s standards, procedures, and processes in project execution

Collaborate with team members to resolve design challenges and seek guidance from experienced professionals

Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail in assigned tasks

Required Education/Experience Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, or equivalent industry experience

Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, ideally in a substation engineering environment

3+ years of experience in a substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment.

Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order towork effectively with other team members

Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Desired Education/Experience 5+ years of experience in substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment

Knowledge of substation electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings

Experience using Autodesk Raster Design and Bentley Descartes

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong mathematical skills and experience working with scaled drawings

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned responsibilities

Experience with ProjectWise File Management System

Base Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $88,500.00 per year The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike.
