Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking to hire multiple skilled Piledriverman / Riggers for our ongoing bridge project in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Piledriverman/Rigger is responsible for assisting the Pile Driving Crane Operator in properly installing the designated piles. This person will offer physical support and feedback during all pile driving activities. The Piledriverman/Rigger must be skilled in the assistance of deep foundation installation including timber piles, concrete piles, sheet piles, drill shafts, auger cast, etc. Must also be experienced in erecting, disassembling, and working with pile driving equipment. Must also have basic rigging knowledge and perform general construction duties.

Functional Requirements
Erect and dismantle lattice boom cranes.
Obtain necessary tools and components and lay out of work.
Interpret hand signals to direct cranes for pile driving activities.
Must be able to follow instructions.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Perform physical labor that requires considerable use of arms and legs, moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials at construction sites.
Act as team leader and mentor to less experienced laborers.
Use safety gear and practice safe work habits per the company policy manual.
Rig equipment and material to be set into place.
Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
2+ years of industrial field experience as a Pile Driver Helper preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. Assistance recommended for lifting items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).
Work Environment
Mobility barriers to access job site: uneven ground level, obstructed pathways, work performed at low and/or high elevations, work performed in confined areas.
Climatic/Environmental Conditions: predominantly outdoor climate, may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment; potential exposure to chemical substances.
