Maintenance Mechanic

Base pay range $25.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Job Summary ENPOINTE in Brooklyn Park is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, compressors).
Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
Diagnose and resolve issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (basic).
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs using CMMS or logs.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments and maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, welding, or electrical systems is a plus.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, or on‑call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with web and sheet‑fed printing presses and bindery equipment.
Certification in HVAC, welding, or electrical systems.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Experience with PLCs or automation systems.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an industrial or facility setting.
Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures.
May require climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, or standing for extended periods.
