Industrial Maintenance Technician - Night Shift
Base pay:
$32.00 - $38.00 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential
Quarterly Bonus Program:

Shift:
Night Shift, 8–12 hours depending on work orders.
Location:
1155 W 2300 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84025.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with and around hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical apparatus.
Ability to work on highly technical or involved projects, presenting new or constantly changing problems.
Ability to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated and to make decisions based on conclusions and findings.
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and relay logic, and choose corresponding components for replacement.
Safely handle and work with various voltages and power sources.
Familiarity with metal fabrication and light machine work.
Use various types of welding equipment: MIG, ARC, flame cutting.
Use electrician hand tools and measuring and testing equipment.
Perform visual and mechanical inspections to keep machinery in good operating condition.
Follow proactive maintenance program, performing inspections and taking preventive action.
Give on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics and/or other assistants.
Maintain continuous improvement efforts in the work area.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility or a 2‑year degree in automation or electrical.
Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety, strong troubleshooting and decision‑making skills, and problem analysis.
Pneumatic systems experience.
Mechanical systems experience.
Medium voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC, 24 VDC).
Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC and applicable OSHA standards.
Transformers maintenance and testing.
Three‑phase motors, DC motors, motor controls, servo motors and controls.
Hydraulics and pneumatics experience.
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s).
Analog circuits (0‑10 VDC, 4‑20 mA).
Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis and perform work at shoulder height or below the waist.
