Job Overview
The Component Test Engineering team is looking for a technician with experience in electrical, mechanical/structural, and thermal testing. This role will provide hands‑on support to various in‑house and external tests. It is a 1‑year contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time role. The role requires on‑site attendance 5 days a week between 8 am and 5 pm. Responsibilities
Assist engineering staff with test setups, execution, and teardown. Occasionally travel to external test facilities to set up and/or execute tests. Fabricate test fixtures, make wiring harnesses, and support other lab activities. Operate a forklift (training will be provided if needed). Maintain lab inventory for consumables. Maintain a clean lab environment. Required Skills
High‑voltage electrical testing experience. Experience operating bi‑directional power supplies and electrical loads. Ability to build special wiring harnesses from scratch, including soldering and crimping. Experience building test stands and test fixtures. Desired Skills
Experience with environmental, thermal, and structural testing. Experience operating and troubleshooting environmental chambers. Machine shop experience—welding, machining, etc. Automotive experience. Pay Range
$30/hr–$35/hr based on experience; overtime available. Equal Opportunity
