Position Overview The Donor Relations Coordinator supports the Sacramento & Central Valley fundraising teams by coordinating a wide range of programmatic, stewardship, and relationship-building activities involving staff, individual donors, and families throughout the region. This role plays a key part in enhancing donor engagement and ensuring a high-quality experience for all philanthropic partners.
The coordinator develops and implements programs and services that assist fundraising staff in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective donors, as well as key constituents including patients, physicians, and employees. Responsibilities include supporting prospect development, coordinating solicitation and stewardship efforts, managing donor recognition and reporting mechanisms, and assisting with special events and communications that advance the organization’s philanthropic goals.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to promote a culture of gratitude and philanthropy.
Job Description EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's:
Business, Healthcare or related field.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE
1-year
recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of fundraising principles, planning and execution of special events and annual giving programs.
Writing and communication skills: written and verbal, listening, negotiation.
Ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization.
Customer service ethic – for both internal and external customers.
Ability to work independently and have an ability to work under pressure to handle multiple requests and competing deadlines.
Computer skills, including experience with microsoft word, excel, outlook and powerpoint.
Respect for confidentiality and accuracy in handling donor information.

Pay Range is $32.36 to $46.93 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
